Fall Festival of Leaves (“FFL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that produces the annual Fall Festival of Leaves in Bainbridge, Ohio. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, registrations, sponsorships, donations and our Festival Alerts text message program, and how we use and protect it.
1. Information We Collect
- Contact details you give us, such as name, mobile number, email address and mailing address, when you sign up for Festival Alerts, register for an event, apply as a vendor, or become a sponsor or donor.
- Vendor, parade, pageant and other participant information needed to run the festival.
- Sponsor and donor details. Online payments are processed by our payment provider (Zeffy); we do not store card numbers.
- Basic website usage data, such as browser type and pages visited.
2. How We Use Information
- To plan and run the festival and coordinate with vendors and participants.
- To send Festival Alerts text messages to people who opted in.
- To thank and recognize sponsors and donors and keep required nonprofit records.
- To answer questions and keep our website working.
3. Festival Alerts Text Messaging (SMS)
Festival Alerts is an opt-in text message program from Fall Festival of Leaves (FFL). Messages cover festival schedule and weather updates, parking and safety notices, vendor and participant reminders, and sponsorship and donation requests. You opt in by checking the consent box on our Text Alerts page or by texting LEAVES to (740) 634-0037. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any product or service or registering for any event.
- Frequency: message volumes and frequency may vary, up to 8 messages per month, more during festival week in October.
- Cost: Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for messages.
- Opt out: reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT to any message, or call (740) 634-0037. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts. Text START or SUBSCRIBE to rejoin.
- Help: reply HELP or INFO, or call (740) 634-0037.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- We send messages only between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM in your local time zone.
- We keep a record of each opt-in (date, time, method and consent text) and each opt-out.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the festival, such as our text messaging platform, payment processor and website host, and only for that purpose. We do not share contact lists with sponsors, other organizations or event partners. We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Children
Festival Alerts is for people 18 or older, or with permission from a parent or guardian. For youth events such as pageants, we communicate with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 without parental consent.
6. Security and Retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. We keep SMS consent and opt-out records for at least five years, and other records as long as needed to run the festival and meet nonprofit record-keeping requirements.
7. Your Choices
You may opt out of text messages at any time as described above, and you may ask us to update or delete your information by contacting us.
8. Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date.
